Felt like we visited one long lost ancestral home ...was touched by the warmth of the hosts and the in-house team there specially lokhi bou...the Sandhya arti at neighbouring mandira were also divine .....everyone really took special care of my 7 year old daughter too.. The village was also a quiet and serene one. We really loved the narahari baba ashram too... We will be back in summers

The stay was cosy and took us back in time to the age of the zamindars...the aervice of the staff who were village locals was very sincere though not always professional....the food was awesome...but you need to come in groups as not much of activities or sightseeing..

Property is good. Service is even better. Please note that it is not a hotel. It is a home stay. Hence, there is no restaurant. The quality and taste of food is decent. You have to order early so that they can buy groceries from the local market and cook it for you.

This is the old Jamindar House not many properties are there, A big temple and small shrine are there, It is a beautiful place in a small area. Go on weekdays because on weekends VIPs will be there and you may not be allowed that day to visit.

An excellent place to go and relax for the weekend, away from the din of the city. Beautifully maintained, it retains its old world charm and splendour. The staff is really polite and helpful, and the owner is friendly and an absolute treat to talk to. There are multiple temple and orchards around the heritage buildings that are a treat to visit, and the ponds around the mansion add to the scenic beauty. The food is freshly prepared and delightful. An must visit destination that is elevated even more by the warm hospitality towards their guests.

A perfect weekend getaway around Kolkata ❤️ . It’s approx 2.5 hours of drive from Howrah . A lovely experience, lovely hosts, the foods were delicious. If you want to know what heritage homestay is all about, you need to meet owner of this house, Mr. Shiladitya Choudhury at least once in your life. Like everyone else, he did not turn the nearly 300-year-old Zamindar's house into a hotel.With great skill and devotion he is keeping with the heritage homestay. As soon as you enter this home you will feel like you have gone back to those old days in the pages of history. The floor, walls, and furniture of the house seem to have stopped in that old time. Mrs.Rupa Chowdhury narrated the history of the Chowdhury family in a very beautiful way and it enriched us in an attractive way. We are overwhelmed by their hospitality. You can stay in this house only because of history of this house and Amadpur . All the people of Amodpur who have a good heart will accept you in a moment. Har da, Gauri dir's cooking is meant to stick in your mouth for the rest of your life. The food is impeccable and amazing . Sarukanta Da, Sathi, Lakshi Di are very sincere about their guests . It was an amazing experience. As we were there ar Dol Jatra we enjoyed a lot. Highly Recommended place for all.
